Take 9:30 Ferry at Central Pier Number 4
This hiking route is an easygoing walk that’s suitable for a family outing. Its highest point is around 100 metres above sea level, and the route is well signposted.
Starting Point (10:30am arrive Yung Shue Wan)
Take a ferry from Central ferry pier 4 to Yung Shue Wan. From Yung Shue Wan Main Street, walk past Lamma Winds and Hung Shing Yeh Beach and you will meet the start of the Family Trail.
The trail takes you along the coast with sweeping views of Hung Shing Yeh Beach, and from the halfway pavilion, past vistas of Lantau Island and Cheung Chau. Shortly after, you’ll pass the sandy beach and fishing rafts of Lo So Shing village. Just beyond this is Kamikaze Cave, where the Japanese forces occupying Hong Kong during the Second World War launched speed boat suicide missions against allied shipping.
End point (arrive around 12:30, reserve time for photo taking)
The Family Trail comes to an end when you see the rustic buildings and fishing rafts of Sok Kwu Wan Village.

Catch a 2:45pm ferry back to Central (30 – 40 minutes).
Arrive Central Pier Number 4 before 3:30pm
